Prepare to move slowly, softly, "not like a raging waterfall."
Diving deep with sliding, gliding, spiraling movements on the floor into the visceral world of the organs. The organs need movement, contraction and expansion to fuel longevity and vitality.
Overburdened organs can develop adhesions, scar tissue that renders them less pliable.
The combined somatics movements with yoga compress and decompress; twist, contract and expand to support motility. Each organ is tethered to neighboring structures, diaphragm, lungs, other organs. How we feel in our muscles and joints, digestion, elimination, emotional and psychological health begins in gut.
In this class we'll explore the physiological and emotional qualities of the large intestine and it's connection to lung, brain, and our overall well-being.
